Witch and Mage

Spark of the Arcane is awarded with the line “Become a Mage.” On 2 November 2026 that badge had 14,688 holders, a distant third behind the two melee routes. People still type supernatural realm witches. Nothing in the creator’s description uses the word witch. I keep both labels on this page so the search and the badge can find each other.

The opening is the same human start and the same training NPC. After the drills you follow the spellcaster questline. The official description names Mage; it does not list a separate Witch path.

Distance, not a calculator

One path overview puts this route on timing and distance: you want space, then you spend an ability. They do not publish a mana pool, a regen rate, an intelligence ratio, or a spellbook. A “best mage stats” paragraph with numbers would be fiction. The blank is the honest build advice.

What is official is the split into variants, each with one signature move, and the shared tier gate. Level 350 is Tier V and the fourth skill. Skill titles remain unpublished, including whatever the signature cast is called.

What the award gap tells you

I will not pretend the holder gap is a balance problem. It can be taste, visibility, or a harder early quest. Those causes are not measured. What I can say is that a new player asking for the popular route should look at the wolf and the vampire first, and a player who wants the caster fantasy is not picking a secret fifth class.

Resetting later still dumps skills, bloodline, and faction when the town priest sends you back to human at level 25. Points return. The off-sale Level Keeper pass was the only published way to keep the level number through that rewind, and it was not for sale on the November pass list.

A useful answer to best Mage stats

The best-stats question needs a distinction between published identity and measured optimisation. Mage is official; intelligence scaling, a mana regeneration value and a recommended numeric allocation are not published in the reviewed record. One independent overview describes ability timing and distance. As editorial advice, choose Mage if deciding when to spend an ability and maintaining space sounds appealing. That preference does not prove a specific mana system or any named spell exists.

Keep the three spellcaster labels straight. Mage is the path in the creator’s description. Spark of the Arcane is the achievement for becoming that path. Witch is a search alias used here to help readers arriving with a different word. None of those labels establishes an extra unlock, a hidden class, or a separate set of spells. The guide therefore routes the witch query to Mage while preserving the exact official name.

The opening recommendation is to complete Harald’s training before following the selected route’s objective. The badge confirms finishing training, and the independent Mage guide recommends that sequence. It does not publish a named spellteacher, a ritual location or a transformation ingredient. A walkthrough that invents those details would give a reader something concrete to do in the wrong place. The absence of exact steps should remain visible in the relevant section.

Progression and spending decisions

Tier V is level 350 and unlocks the path’s fourth skill according to the official badge. That shared milestone is a better planning anchor than an unsupported claim that Mage becomes strong at an earlier level. The earlier tier cut-offs, individual spell names, cooldowns and damage comparisons are left open. Apex confirms a final tier, but its badge does not supply a maximum level. The guide does not turn that missing number into a guessed cap.

Variants are official for every path, including Mage, with a signature move for each. Nothing in the reviewed descriptions supplies a list of Mage variant names. Likewise, nighttime rifts are an advertised world feature; their arcane theme does not establish a Mage-only reward or an unlock requirement. Keep those two official concepts separate until a source explicitly connects them.

Moon Shards fund the reroll services described by the pass text and community guides. The Moon Statue lists surname, trait and height; the Barber and Blackmist Coffer are separate services. These descriptions do not identify an intelligence upgrade or a guaranteed spell unlock. Treat a cosmetic or attribute reroll as the service actually described, rather than an assumed substitute for path progression.

Finally, compare point changes with leaving the path. SCRESET is reported as a stat and combat point reset. Father John’s return to Human normally drops the character to level 25 and removes skills, bloodline and faction while returning stat points. Level Keeper was off sale in the official API at the check. Plan your commitment using that documented cost rather than assuming you can freely switch between a Mage and another route.

Questions

Are witches a different path?

The official badge and description use Mage. We use witch as a search alias, rather than a separately documented class.

What intelligence ratio should I use?

No ratio is published. I am not filling one in.
